Lyn Eccles-Sargeant B.Sc. (Hons) MCIEEM NEBOSH

Managing Director / Principal Ecologist

A highly experienced principal ecologist with over 18 years consultancy experience. Lyn is skilled in Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA) and Habitat Regulations Assessment and is currently on the advisory panel for great crested newt district licencing. Licenses held include bats (Class 1), great crested newt including Low Impact Class Licence (LICL) and fresh water white-clawed crayfish. Lyn undertakes a full suite of species and habitat surveys and holds of several great crested newt and badger Natural England European Protected Species (EPS) mitigation licences. Lyn also holds a City and Guilds Confined Space (Medium) certificate and has gained the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. She is also qualified in First Aid.

Louise Redgrave MA (Oxon), MSc. Ecology, MCIEEM, Chartered Ecologist and Chartered Environmentalist. Highly experienced ecologist with 20 years’ experience. Skilled in EcIA, project management, licenced to survey for great crested newt and dormice in England and Wales and holder of mitigation licences. Louise is an experienced botanist undertaking Phase 1 and National Vegetation Classification (NVC) surveys and also undertakes surveys for breeding and wintering birds, otter, water vole, reptiles, badger and bat activity.
Su O’Neill B.A. (Hons) PGCE, MCIEEM.
Su O’Neill B.A. (Hons) PGCE, MCIEEM. Senior Consultant Ecologist
Su is a full member of CIEEM and a highly experienced ecologist with over 14 years consultancy experience. Su specialises in bats and is a Level 2 Natural England licence holder with numerous Natural England European Protected Species (EPS) mitigation licences to her name. Su is also licensed to survey great crested newt and holder of a Natural England Conservation Licence for this species. Habitat work includes river corridor survey, extended Phase 1 habitat survey and Habitat Suitability Index (H.S.I.) assessments along with an impressive compliment of species survey experience, which include but not limited to: water vole, badger, barn owl, otter and reptile surveys . Su is one of the lead members of staff who’s role also includes large scale project and contracts management. Su holds a City and Guilds Confined Space (Medium) certificate.
Simon Booth
Simon BoothSenior Consultant Ecologist
Simon Booth has a life long interest in conservation and wildlife and has 13 years consultancy experience. Simon is a Qualifying Member of CIEEM. Protected species survey licences include great crested newt, bats (Class 2) (England and Wales), Lesser silver water beetle and Barn owl. Simon also holds mitigation and conservation licences for great crested newt. Simon daily work includes extended Phase 1 habitat surveys, botanical surveys including Phase 2 and National Vegetation Classification (NVC) surveys. He also undertakes Breeding Bird Surveys (BBS) and assessments, reptile surveys and aquatic macro-invertebrate surveys among many others. Simon holds a City and Guilds Confined Space (Medium) certificate and is qualified in First Aid Mental Health Awareness. He also ensure the smooth running of the website and oversees our social media presence.
Sub-contractors
Sub-contractor requirements vary greatly depending upon specific projects. All sub-contractors are either qualified to degree level in the relevant subject, are listed as an accredited agent by the Environment Agency or other similar body, hold a CV with at least 3 years experience for the associated work, or are trained by Ecology Services Ltd. Sub-contractors are chosen very carefully, as they represent our company.
